A Better Vocabulary Can Change Your Life
The theory suggests the language you speak shapes the way you think and influences your behavior. That proves the power of words and the importance of enriching your vocabulary. There are countless ways to narrate experiences and describe concepts, yet only a few words that truly convey the true essence of it all.
It is a captivating skill to communicate effectively, one that I've always noticed and admired the first in people. The library of thoughts and expression owned by a bilingual or trilingual person is certainly more diverse in certain aspects than a monolingual one. Here lies the reason why we should strive to learn at least one other language or work on our vocabulary since we are more than capable enough to.
Yet another thing I find impressive is a speakers' undeniable stage presence, the charisma and sureness with which they speak, and the visibly charming smile they have throughout the speech. Oration like this certainly takes courage and practise, however, it undeniably is increasingly more effective than a person doing otherwise.
Quoting Hellen Keller, " Everything had a name, and each name gave birth to a new thought". I now know how crucial it is to dissolve language barriers and the beauty of voicing your ideas in a precise, clear, and stirring manner.
